SHIFT DELETE 30 .. Panel Discussions Program

THE AIM

From Bassem Yousri Artwork

Our team aims to develop a relationship between the inter disciplines of visual arts and the public realm by inviting artists to become part of an interactive mechanism for social cultural criticism in Contemporary Egyptian Arts. In order to achieve this, we have designed a series of panel discussions, inviting important cultural producers from various backgrounds in contemporary Egyptian arts to familiarize themselves with our current exhibitors and to also introduce them to the emerging practitioners in the field. This includes public and private institutions, foundations and non profitable organizations who support the emerging scene. We also seek artists to be placed in a controversial zone, where by their ideas are publicly exposed and will not be considered always welcome to alternative institutions or practitioners in the field, however offer important alternatives to what is typically viewed in the art scene in Cairo.
